Swedish massage is a therapeutic and relaxing full body* massage. It is most commonly requested massage because of its power to release tension and stress. The strokes used in Swedish massage were designed especially to increase circulation in the body, release toxins and increase the bodies’ over all well being. Swedish also increases the flow oxygen to the blood throughout the body.

The client may choose oil or lotion for their massage, as well.

Deep tissue massage uses deeper and slower steady pressure to reach the inner most layers of muscle and connective tissue. Clients with sore and stiff necks, shoulders and lower back problems can really benefit from this procedure. Deep tissue can break up and rid the muscle of scar tissue that can cause chronic pain. Deep tissue helps improve range of motion and movement, inflammation, and allows for better circulation to injured muscles.

The client may feel some soreness or discomfort after their deep tissue massage, which is normal. The therapist can help by offering suggestions that will ease soreness.

A Trigger point is the area of the muscle that is the source of the pain; which can cause the pain to refer to other parts of the body. For example, a trigger point in the neck may cause the pain to refer in the fore arm and hands.

The trigger point will feel like a knot under the skin. Pressure is concentrated on the area or point to relax the entire muscle.

Reflexology is a technique of using deep pressure on areas or zones of the feet, hands to relieve aches, pain and stress throughout the body. The zones on the feet and hands mirror the body’s systems and organs. Working each zone will help to create relaxation throughout the body, reduce pain, improves blood flow.

Each session begins with a warm foot/hand soak. Next lying on the table with a warm pad on troubled areas while therapist works the hands and feet using deep pressure and Swedish techniques to release pain and stress from the body. Oils or lotion are used to enhance the treatment.

Hot stone massage is a pleasant way to melt away the stress and tension of the day. The massage uses smooth, heated stones of different sizes that fit different parts of the body. The stones are heated in water and used with warm oil and placed on specific areas of the body to allow for a more relaxed experience.

The benefits of hot stones include release of muscle tension and stiffness while increasing circulation. Hot stone is also good for the relief of chronic pain, arthritis and fibromyalgia.

Sports massage is the ideal treatment for every type of athlete. The goal is to relieve injured muscles as well as prevent further injury. Sports massage is designed to increase range of motion, reduce muscle tension, promote flexibility, and relieve pain. The goal of this type of massage is not always relaxation, but to revive injured muscles for better performance.

Each session will consist of a full body massage using the modality of choice unless otherwise requested by client. A full body massage engages the whole body; it includes back, shoulders, arms (front and back), legs (front and back), feet, hands, neck, face and head.

Draping is required for the comfort and security of each client.

**Appointments must be made at least 24 hours in advance. A $25.00 non refundable deposit will be required in advance for each appointment. Deposit will be applied to balance. Cancellations should be made at least 24 hours prior to appointment.

Additional Amenities are available for each session at the request of the client. Complimentary Amenities include: Hot towel during massage session and a cold bottle of water at the conclusion of massage.

Add a sugar scrub or aromatherapy boost to your session for a small additional fee. Available aromatherapy essential oils are Lavender, Wild Orange, or Peppermint.*  Prices vary, call for additional details.
